About the role

  • Advise and counsel employer clients on day-to-day employment law issues
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and written advocacy
  • Argue motions and contribute meaningfully to litigation strategy from inception through resolution
  • Take and defend depositions and participate in mediations and settlement negotiations
  • Conduct legal research and deliver clear, business-minded guidance
  • Collaborate closely with partners and support junior attorneys as appropriate
  • Participate in networking and business development efforts as interest and experience allow

Requirements

  • Active California Bar license in good standing
  • 2+ years of experience in employment law litigation and/or related employment matters
  • Strong legal writing, analytical, and verbal communication skills
  • Sound professional judgment with confidence in client-facing situations
  • Employment law defense experience preferred, but not required
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for hearings, depositions, or mediations
