About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Order acceptance, order entry, planning, and scheduling of intermodal rail shipments.
Coordinating with Knichel Logistics rail and drayage partners to ensure the appropriate capacity and service to meet our customer’s needs.
Consistent monitoring of intermodal shipments to ensure on-time pick-up and delivery – while proactively identifying and resolving any shipment/account problems.
Resolve escalated customer issues promptly and effectively, ensuring seamless communication between stakeholders.
Collaborate with sales, operations, and procurement teams to enhance service offerings and align with customer expectations.

Requirements

What you’ll need

3 years of experience in logistics, specifically intermodal customer service and operations.
Proven ability to manage and prioritize tasks effectively across various customers and shipments.
Strong communication skills while having a sense of urgency and empathy.
Comfortable engaging and building relationships with multiple stakeholders to include shippers, carriers, rails and internal team members.
Detail-oriented and skilled at problem-solving with a proactive approach.
