About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the development and execution of the EMEA sustainability strategy at the intersection of sustainability, product management, business functions, and technological transformation
- Derive strategic priorities and translate them into actionable measures for cross-regional implementation
- Independently drive defined cross-functional workstreams from concept through to execution
- Translate complex external requirements, including regulatory developments such as PPWR, EmpCo, and DPP, into clear business implications and actionable initiatives
- Continuously assess market and regulatory trends to identify risks and opportunities
- Contribute to portfolio-level analyses across products, markets, and time horizons
- Develop decision frameworks that help management prioritise investments by connecting technical transformation needs with commercial impact
- Ensure alignment between sustainability requirements and product development, positioning, and roadmap decisions across diverse markets
Requirements
What you’ll need- Several years of experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, business development, or a similar commercial role
- Strong exposure to sustainability topics
- Ability to translate sustainability topics into concrete business implications
- Experience in the building materials or construction industry is a strong advantage
- Strong analytical and commercial mindset
- Comfortable working with business cases, scenarios, and financial impact analyses
- Ability to structure complex topics into clear recommendations and actionable plans
- Sound understanding of business and product environments
- Experience managing projects and programmes across complex matrix organisations
- High degree of ownership and independence in driving topics
- Hands-on mentality with the ability to see initiatives through from concept to final delivery
- Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus
