About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Execute defined installation and configuration tasks for servers and network infrastructure at customer sites in accordance with project documentation and standards
Configure and support network components including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless systems under established guidelines
Monitor system performance, availability, and connectivity, escalating deviations or issues in accordance with escalation procedures
Perform initial troubleshooting of IT and network issues, documenting findings and actions taken
Maintain accurate system, network, and configuration documentation
Collaborate with project teams and senior engineers to support system implementation milestones
Participate in customer-facing support activities and basic system training as directed
Comply with all KNAPP policies, safety requirements, and professional conduct standards
Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the role

Requirements

What you’ll need

Basic knowledge of networking fundamentals (routing, switching, NAT, VPN)
Familiarity with Linux or willingness to learn
Associate or bachelor’s degree in IT or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience
Entry-level certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+) are a plus
Travel up to 50% is required
Ability to travel by air domestically (U.S.) and internationally (primarily, Austria, other parts of Europe, and Canada)
Authorization to work in the U.S.
Passport or ability to obtain passport
Professional office etiquette is required at all times
Physical requirements may include: sitting for extended periods of time, standing, walking, climbing a ladder, speaking, visual acuity, finger dexterity, listening, reaching at arm’s length, and lifting up to 50 pounds
