About the role

  • You’ll design for young women 16–24 — customers who move fast, care deeply about style, and expect newness every time they shop.
  • Move with agility to create trend-right ranges at pace.
  • Turn global insights into fresh concepts that hit the floor fast.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with stakeholders to keep product cycles sharp and efficient.
  • Bring vibrant, youth-driven storytelling to every range.

  • Develop unique, high-quality, affordable products that reflect Kmart’s youth aesthetic.
  • Work with offshore partners to keep development cycles tight and efficient.
  • Create accurate tech packs, artwork and visual presentations to support rapid execution.

Requirements

  • A relevant design qualification (Fashion, Textiles, Graphics, Industrial Design, Footwear).
  • 5+ years experience in high-volume, fast-paced retail or supply.
  • Strong Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, CAD) and software skills (GBSS, Centric).
  • Deep product development knowledge across fabrics, materials and construction.
  • The ability to juggle multiple product types with style and precision.
  • Exceptional taste — colour, materials, composition, storytelling.
  • Strong presentation and influencing skills.
  • Emerging leadership capability and a love for working at speed.
