About the role

  • Lead the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting cycles for Store Operations, ensuring accuracy, insight, and alignment to business strategy.
  • Provide trusted commercial advice to senior leaders, influencing decisions that drive profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Deliver deep financial and operational analysis to uncover performance drivers, identify risks and opportunities, and support continuous improvement.
  • Build business cases, evaluate initiatives, and conduct post-implementation reviews to ensure strong ROI and commercial value.
  • Support long-term strategic planning, including KPI governance, tracking, and performance reporting.
  • Develop and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in commercial finance or business partnering, ideally within Retail or FMCG.
  • Strong analytical capability, advanced financial modelling skills, and proficiency in tools such as Excel and regression analysis.
  • A CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent) and at least 10 years’ experience in a large, complex organisation.
  • The ability to influence senior stakeholders, challenge the status quo, and translate data into actionable insights.
  • Experience building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen, curiosity, and the ability to anticipate future business needs.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
