About the role
- Prepare and review complex individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns
- Lead and participate in the preparation of compilations, reviews, and audits in accordance with professional standards
- Supervise and train junior staff, providing feedback and mentorship
- Assist with planning and managing engagements to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
- Maintain up to date knowledge of tax laws, accounting standards, and industry developments
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Master’s degree in Taxation or related field is a plus
- 7+ years of experience in public accounting preferred
- CPA certification required
- Experience with preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, tax compliance, and tax planning
- Experience with preparing and reviewing compilations, reviews and audits
- Proficiency in managing and coordinating tax engagements and supervising tax staff
- Ability to research and implement tax strategies
- Excellent communication skills and client relationship management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in tax software, Engagement and Practice Management a plus
