About the role
- Maintain financial records for monthly, quarterly, and annual bookkeeping clients
- Determine & post journal entries
- Perform monthly account reconciliations
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements
- Maintain client fixed asset schedules
- Calculate, file, and pay monthly & quarterly sales tax returns
- Prepare quarterly and annual payroll tax returns
- Prepare year-end W2s and 1099s
- Research special projects as they arise
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a full-charge bookkeeper, with a strong background in managing end-to-end accounting functions
- QuickBooks and/or QuickBooks Online experience
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
- Strong time management skills and ability to work in a deadline driven environment
- Self-motivated and organized
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients, staff members, and partners
