About the role
- Manage companies’ complete accounting cycle
- Process 401k
- AP / AR – process invoices, pay bills, collect payments
- Bank & Ledger Reconciliation – reconcile bank/credit card statements and accuracy of general ledger
- Payroll Processing – manage accuracy of payroll, timely tax payments and filings
- Perform month-end closing procedures
- Provide documentation support and assistance with internal and external audits
- Data entry and financial analysis
- Maintain up-to-date vendor information
- Assist with projects in collaboration with other team members
- Answering phones and fielding customer inquiries and requests
- Oversee other administrative positions within companies
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, or equivalent experience, preferred
- Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles
- Experience with Intuit QuickBooks, Microsoft Office products, Excel and BuilderTrend or similar software preferred
- Fast and accurate typing/data entry skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Positive attitude and amiable phone etiquette
