Requirements

  • Combines a thorough understanding of the therapeutic area with product strategy to ensure communication objectives are met on assigned projects
  • Able to identify and leverage relevant, focused resources to understand the underlying science and product strategy related to assigned projects
  • Able to work across multiple therapeutic areas and learn new areas quickly
  • Demonstrates ability to use scientific databases, approval software, referencing software for efficiency
  • Independently develop scientifically robust, compelling, and audience-appropriate content (scientific platforms, manuscripts, slide decks, training materials, digital content)
  • Conduct high-level literature reviews and synthesize complex data into cohesive narratives aligned with client objectives
  • Independently manage multiple content deliverables to meet deadlines and quality expectations
  • Ensure accuracy, scientific integrity, and compliance with internal and external standards
  • Review and mentor junior writers, providing constructive feedback and guidance
  • Lead development of project briefs and collaborate on strategic and tactical planning for medical affairs and commercial clients
  • Assist in design and execution of advisory boards, workshops, and strategic/tactical planning sessions
  • Support innovative projects and contribute to thought leadership through POVs and trend analyses
  • Participate in new business activities, including proposal writing and pitch presentations
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients and present confidently in meetings and workshops
  • Foster strong client relationships and identify opportunities for organic growth on assigned accounts
  • Preferred: 5+ years of experience in a medical communications or medical education agency
  • Preferred: Scientific degree, PhD or MD
