About the role
- Configuration of planning parameters and business logic within the service inventory planning system related to demand forecasting, inventory optimization, replenishment and supply processes
- Identify and document requirements for enhancements and work with internal and external teams to complete successful development and implementation
- Evaluate the impact of configuration changes on downstream planning, execution, and reporting, and communicate impacts clearly to stakeholders
- Perform ad hoc analytics using a variety of tools and data sources
- Define and/or develop analytical tools in PowerBI and other data visualization technologies
- Identify opportunities to enhance data reporting landscape
- Design and execute functional testing for configuration changes, new features, and enhancements
- Validate planning outputs against business expectations and real‑world results
- Identify opportunities to simplify configurations, standardize logic, and improve system usability and scalability
- Maintain clear documentation of system configuration, planning logic, assumptions, and data design
- Support knowledge transfer, training, and enablement for business users and partners
- Act as a subject matter expert for the service inventory planning system
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Systems, Engineering or related discipline
- Experience with service inventory planning systems such as Prophet by Baxter Planning, PTC SPM or equivalent
- Hands‑on experience configuring or supporting forecasting, inventory optimization, or supply operations in a service environment
- Experience translating business requirements into system logic, parameters, or configurations
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large data sets
- Proficiency with Excel and analytical tools; experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools is a plus
- Understanding of inventory planning concepts such as demand forecasting, inventory optimization, service levels, transactional automation and reporting
