About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and manage the engineering function during the assigned shift
- Ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation of all manufacturing equipment
- Minimise downtime and drive continuous improvement
- Provide leadership, technical support and coaching to the engineering team
- Work closely with Production, Quality and Operations teams to maximise OEE
Requirements
What you’ll need- Lead and supervise the engineering team during the shift
- Coordinate planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns
- Ensure all engineering work complies with food manufacturing standards
- Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and OEE
- Manage engineering priorities in collaboration with Production
- Maintain accurate maintenance records
- Coach, mentor and develop engineers and apprentices
- Support the implementation of engineering projects
- Ensure engineering spare parts, tools and consumables are managed
