About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and manage the engineering function during the assigned shift
  • Ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation of all manufacturing equipment
  • Minimise downtime and drive continuous improvement
  • Provide leadership, technical support and coaching to the engineering team
  • Work closely with Production, Quality and Operations teams to maximise OEE

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Lead and supervise the engineering team during the shift
  • Coordinate planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns
  • Ensure all engineering work complies with food manufacturing standards
  • Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and OEE
  • Manage engineering priorities in collaboration with Production
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records
  • Coach, mentor and develop engineers and apprentices
  • Support the implementation of engineering projects
  • Ensure engineering spare parts, tools and consumables are managed
