About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Reliable general ledger accounting: proper booking of provisions, accruals/deferrals (ARAP/PRAP) and ongoing depreciation.
Closing preparation: active participation in the timely preparation and compilation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements according to HGB (German GAAP).
Operational receivables management: independent handling of the entire accounts receivable process, including execution and optimization of the dunning process and resolution of payment discrepancies.
Analysis & reporting: structured preparation and sound business evaluation of management reports (BWA).
Industry-specific focus: processing and booking of operational transactions in the manufacturing sector (e.g. inventory changes, cost of goods sold).

Requirements

What you’ll need

Completed training as a tax clerk (Steuerfachangestellter) or a solid commercial apprenticeship (e.g. industrial clerk/industrial management assistant)
Several years of relevant practical experience in accounting, ideally within a manufacturing company
Solid, confident and proven experience with DATEV (e.g. Kanzlei-Rechnungswesen)
Very good MS Office skills, particularly advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
Fluent German language skills, both written and spoken
