About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Full ownership of the project delivery phase, from contract review through to final handover.
Reviewing contracts to define scope, milestones, and key deliverables.
Leading development and management of integrated project schedules (critical path focus).
Bringing together internal and external stakeholders to align on scope of works and execution strategy.
Managing project budgets, cost forecasting, and financial performance.
Identifying and managing unallocated costs, variations, and commercial risks.
Driving procurement, supplier commitments, and project supply chain performance.
Overseeing subcontractor engagement, performance, and sign-off for invoicing.
Leading risk management, change management, and issue resolution.
Managing project challenges including delays, scope changes, and extensions of time.
Supporting FAT, SAT, commissioning, and customer acceptance testing.
Acting as the key client-facing lead, ensuring expectations are managed and met.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline.
Proven experience delivering large-scale, complex engineering, automation, or MHS projects.
Background in MHS, warehouse automation, FMCG, high-speed packaging, or integrated engineering environments.
Strong understanding of system layouts, design intent, integration complexity.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in fast-paced environments.
Solid commercial acumen across contracts, budgets, variations, cost control.
Proficiency with project planning tools (MS Project / similar PM software).
Ability to interpret AutoCAD layouts and system designs.
Strong reporting, communication, stakeholder presentation skills.
Willingness to travel to customer sites locally and interstate.
