Product and Partner Manager – Automation, Full-time
KION Group. As an integral member of the EMEA Product Management Automation team, you actively shape the development of our automation portfolio.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- As an integral member of the EMEA Product Management Automation team, you actively shape the development of our automation portfolio.
- You take responsibility for defining, advancing and lifecycle-managing automation products for the EMEA region.
- You identify, evaluate and onboard technology partners and ensure the integration of their solutions into our automation ecosystem and product portfolio.
- You develop product requirements, specifications and documentation for both internal and partner-based solutions and prepare them in a structured format.
- You create and maintain business cases to support informed investment decisions and strategic prioritization.
- You are responsible for building and continuously evolving market and product roadmaps — including the integration of partner technologies and the identification of synergies and portfolio gaps.
- You regularly conduct market, competitive and use-case analyses to understand trends, customer requirements and competitor activities and to derive concrete measures.
- You also actively manage the existing product portfolio, for example in terms of lifecycle management, value proposition, pricing input and commercial positioning.
- You ensure close alignment with other regions (e.g., APAC and Americas) as well as with Global Product Management.
- With your product expertise you support regional sales teams and strengthen them with clear value propositions, scalable solution concepts and a compelling competitive positioning.
Requirements
What you’ll need- You hold a degree in business administration, engineering, computer science or a comparable field of study.
- You have several years of professional experience in B2B product management, ideally in automation, intralogistics or material handling solutions.
- You possess solid knowledge of automation technologies — for example fleet control software, WCS, WES, WMS, as well as AGVs/AMRs or fixed automation solutions — and have experience in automation project environments.
- You have a strong market and customer orientation and are able to derive concrete product requirements from this.
- Your working style is structured, analytical and goal-oriented, combined with a high degree of personal responsibility.
- You bring strong communication skills and enjoy collaborating in cross-functional and international teams.
- You use very good written and spoken English confidently in your daily work; Chinese language skills are an advantage.
- You are willing to travel within the EMEA region and to China.
