About the role
- Lead and grow DevOps capabilities across one or more product domains
- Manage a small but impactful DevOps team and mentor direct reports
- Set technical direction and establish guidelines for CI/CD, IaC, and cloud deployments
- Work directly on technical stories, implement solutions, conduct code reviews, and contribute to architecture decisions
- Own end-to-end design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for high-scale environments
- Partner with architecture, engineering, infrastructure, governance, and security teams to mature cloud platform adoption
- Drive tooling, process, and capability improvements
- Support live site operations, participate in incident resolution, and champion reliability engineering practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related field
- 8+ years in software engineering
- At least 3 years in a global engineering leadership role
- Proven track record leading DevOps teams on CI/CD and IaC automation initiatives
- Expertise in public cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred; AWS/Azure also considered)
- Kubernetes and serverless architectures
- Good understanding of cloud networking concepts (VPC design, subnets, routing, firewall rules, load balancers, DNS)
- 5+ years with IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Helm
- 4+ years with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, Github Actions
- Experience delivering reliability metrics (availability, error budgets, failure rates) and setting up cloud monitoring/dashboards
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Scrum methodologies
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to prioritize and remain calm under pressure
- Positive attitude with a history of inspiring change
