About the role

  • Learn how to service and repair forklift trucks and other material handling equipment
  • Receive specific hands-on experience while studying for a nationally recognised qualification
  • Apply learning from college and demonstrate this knowledge to mentors and assessors
  • Commit to a three-year training and development programme
  • Inspect, maintain, service and repair all types of material handling equipment
  • Attend all required training courses (internal & external)
  • Pass all knowledge block training tests at college
  • Complete e-Portfolio on time and to expected standards

Requirements

  • Ideally you would need to have a GCSE Grade 4 or above in Maths and English (predicted grades if undertaking GCSE’s)
  • Need to have an interest in engineering and technology
  • Advantageous to have a Full UK Driver's Licence
