About the role

  • Perform electrical and PLC software commissioning on-site for material-handling projects
  • Provide support to system test activities and training for the end user
  • Produce commissioning documentation (checklists, test specifications, Method Statements, Risk Assessments) to BS EN ISO 12100
  • Interpret electrical schematics and design input information
  • Deliver assigned project scope meeting safety, quality, On-Time-Delivery and budget requirements
  • Ensure systems are CE Compliant to the Machinery Directive
  • Commission safety related parts of control systems according to BS EN ISO 13849/13850/60204
  • Maintain professional company image and comply with company policies

Requirements

  • Educated to degree level (bachelor’s degree or higher) in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or related field
  • 1-5 years of experience as Automation/Controls/Commissioning Engineer or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with electrical commissioning
  • Ability to understand Electrical and Electronic technical manuals & drawings
  • Knowledge of PLC (e.g., Siemens or Allan Bradley), HMI, SCADA development and commissioning software
  • Good understanding of bus systems (Profinet, Profibus, ASi, EthernetIP or similar)
  • Proficient with AutoCAD, Word, Excel, Project, Outlook
  • Willingness to travel internationally to customer sites for up to 80% of the time
  • Full working proficiency in English
  • Hold a valid driving license
  • Understanding of automated warehouses desirable, not essential
