Conduct thorough internal investigations of reported complaints, policy violations, and incidents in a neutral and respectful manner.
Consult with HR business partners to determine if any protective measures are recommended while investigations are ongoing.
Provide recommendations based on investigation findings and consult HR leadership on next steps.
Document investigations thoroughly and in a timely manner.
Consult and provide guidance to HR business partners and generalists in lower risk complaints to enhance knowledge and capabilities.
Serve as the HR liaison to investigation stakeholders including HR, Legal, Internal Audit, Safety, Security, and Digital Forensics.
Manage investigation tracking method and report on trends.
Manage investigation document retention.
Identify, design, and provide education opportunities for People Managers and the HR Community on key topics and trends in the Employee Relations space.
Identify and recommend areas for process, policy, or technology enhancements to increase efficiencies, reduce risk, or improve workplace culture.
Manage investigative intake, including assessing reports from multiple platforms, analyzing the potential risk impact and creating cases for investigation in the company case management system.
Requirements
5+ years of Employee Relations work experience
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Able to handle confidential information in a professional matter
Demonstrates ability to develop thorough, complete reports with expediency
Demonstrates empathy, neutrality, and good judgement
Demonstrates an acute attention to detail and highly organized behaviors
Able to create a calm atmosphere and de-escalate emotionally charged situations
Able to influence peers and leadership for the best results possible
