About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support Compliance Reviews and Documentation Reviews of Federal financial assistance recipients
  • Evaluate financial management systems and internal controls
  • Conduct compliance testing
  • Prepare workpapers and document findings in accordance with applicable Federal regulations
  • Participate in planning meetings and assigned review activities
  • Review applicable laws, regulations, client guidance, and recipient documentation
  • Coordinate review schedules and milestones
  • Assess compliance with applicable Federal regulations, grant requirements, and policies
  • Conduct document reviews, interviews, analytical procedures, and transaction testing
  • Validate supporting documentation and evaluate financial records for accuracy
  • Prepare and maintain complete workpapers, supporting documentation, and review evidence
  • Identify findings, compliance risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Develop draft reports and recommendations
  • Support entrance and exit conferences with recipients
  • Ensure assigned deliverables are accurate, complete, timely, and meet established quality standards
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and program information
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree or approved equivalent substitution
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in accounting, auditing, financial management, compliance, or a related field
  • Knowledge of financial management principles and internal controls
  • Ability to analyze financial records and identify compliance risks
  • Ability to prepare clear technical documentation, workpapers, findings, and reports
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
