About the role
- Support management in the development and execution of a BI and reporting strategy aligned with organizational goals to drive growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
- Partner with departments such as Claims, Underwriting/Operations, and Product Management to identify, assess, and prioritize business intelligence needs.
- Design, develop, and deliver management dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) that provide actionable business insights.
- Ensure all reports and dashboards support business users' decision-making process.
- Work alongside other analytical teams to build and maintain reliable analytical datasets that support broader business goals.
- Drive enhancements in reporting processes and data quality to deliver accurate, timely, and actionable insights for decision-making.
- Perform quarterly and annual regulatory statistical reporting to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field is required.
- At least 4 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related role, with demonstrated growth in responsibilities.
- Experience working with a P&C insurance company, ideally with exposure to operational areas such as Underwriting and Claims.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future.
- Proficiency in SQL and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau, and experience with advanced analytics tools like R or Python is strongly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of data architecture, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with predictive modeling, machine learning techniques, and AI applications is valuable.
- Strong business acumen with a thorough understanding of the insurance industry's key metrics, challenges, and opportunities.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, focusing on delivering actionable insights that drive decision-making.
- Proven ability to develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, and resource allocation, with a strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Strong ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments, fostering a culture of teamwork and innovation.
- Flexibility to embrace change and implement new solutions effectively.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills to convey complex concepts clearly and effectively.
