About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for high-volume and recurring SuperSportBet and KingMakers Group roles in South Africa: sourcing, screening, scheduling, candidate management, offers and onboarding handover.
  • Provide direct support to our Talent Partner in South Africa: working jointly on SSB hiring priorities, sharing pipelines and ensuring continuity of delivery across the team.
  • Collaborate with Talent Partners across Malta, Spain and Nigeria to support cross-region recruitment as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong sourcing pipelines through LinkedIn, local networks, job boards and other channels.
  • Assess talent through structured interviews, ensuring fairness, consistency and a high quality bar.
  • Own candidate background checks and pre-employment screening: initiate, follow up and close out in line with SLAs and compliance requirements.
  • Partner with hiring managers: share market insights, time-to-fill realities and candidate engagement best practices, and learn from their experience to refine your approach to each role.
  • Keep Workable (ATS) clean and current: accurate stages, notes, scorecards and statuses, every day.
  • Champion candidate experience throughout the hiring lifecycle, from first touchpoint to onboarding.
  • Promote SuperSportBet and KingMakers as employers of choice through every interaction with candidates and the wider talent community.
  • Innovate and improve recruitment programs and ways of working alongside the rest of the TA team.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Around 2 years of experience in Talent Acquisition or recruitment, ideally in-house and in volume-heavy environments (BPO, customer service, retail, hospitality, or similar).
  • Reliable follow-through: when you say you'll close the loop, you do - every candidate, every hiring manager, every time.
  • Comfortable with admin: background checks, scheduling, contracts, document collection and compliance steps don't intimidate you - they're part of the craft.
  • Strong sourcing skills: proactive, creative and confident across LinkedIn, networks, job boards and Boolean search.
  • Hands-on ATS experience (Workable a plus, not required) comfortable keeping data clean and using funnel metrics to inform decisions.
  • Solid talent assessment skills: structured interviewing comes naturally and decisions are fair and evidence-based.
  • A people person: connecting with candidates and hiring managers comes naturally, and their experience sits at the heart of every interaction.
  • Team-oriented: you thrive in collaborative environments where open communication and shared goals come first - "we" takes precedence over "I."
  • Proactive and accountable: takes ownership without being asked, follows through to closure, and ensures nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Solution-oriented: when something isn't working, the instinct is to find the way forward, not to dwell on the obstacle.
  • Comfortable across geographies: multiple time zones, cultures and stakeholder groups.
  • Strong English communication: clear, direct and human - both in writing and on calls.
