About the role
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of conflict questionnaires and conflict reports to identify and resolve potential business and ethical conflicts
- Draft and review conflicts memoranda, waiver letters, and notice letters
- Advise on conflicts of interest analysis and related Firm policies
- Communicate required next steps to lawyers and staff before a lateral attorney may join the Firm
- Advise on issues under the rules of professional responsibility
- Work with lateral candidates and Firm personnel to facilitate the onboarding of new hires
Requirements
- Juris Doctorate (J.D.)
- minimum three years of legal work experience after law school preferred
- active law license in the jurisdiction in which the candidate is located
- excellent oral and written communication skills
- exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- strong organizational skills
- working knowledge of the rules of professional conduct
- previous conflicts experience including reviewing conflict reports, researching corporate affiliations, drafting waivers, and advising Firm lawyers on conflict or relationship issues
