About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify and acquire new business through calls, emails, visits, and lead-generation methods aligned with agency guidelines
  • Conduct client and prospect appointments to assess insurance needs, present proposals, and explain coverage options
  • Submit, rate, quote, and place new business in line with agency and carrier guidelines
  • Prepare and submit accurate insurance applications, underwriting data, and loss histories
  • Collaborate with the marketing and service teams to negotiate optimal coverage and pricing
  • Develop and deliver detailed formal insurance proposals
  • Support cross-selling initiatives through a mutual referral network
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Meet or exceed predetermined sales goals
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, agency, and carrier personnel
  • Follow agency workflows and properly utilize the AMS360 and CRM systems
  • Complete sales reports, track pipeline activity, and attend required meetings
  • Stay informed on industry trends and maintain continuing education requirements
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Active Property & Casualty license
  • 3–5+ years of documented successful insurance sales experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Suite
  • Strong ability to determine optimal insurance solutions for clients
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and sales skills
  • Ability to travel during the day up to 60%
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and minimum state-required vehicle insurance
