About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own a portfolio of existing accounts and drive expansion revenue
  • Build account plans identifying additional modules and services that can deliver customer value
  • Identify, qualify, demonstrate, and sell additional software modules
  • Sell professional services including implementation, configuration, optimisation, integrations, development, and bespoke projects
  • Manage multi-year contract and licence renewals, protecting revenue and increasing contract value
  • Deliver virtual and in-person product demonstrations
  • Analyse and respond to RFPs and RFIs
  • Produce quotes and proposals and manage contract negotiations and addendums
  • Relay market trends and customer needs to Product and Marketing
  • Maintain accurate expansion pipeline and forecasts using Salesforce
  • Build relationships with senior operational, commercial, and procurement stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Customer Experience, Professional Services, Product, Marketing, and Finance teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven B2B sales or account management track record, ideally in SaaS
  • History of meeting and exceeding quota
  • Consultative selling and strong discovery skills
  • Ability to shape solutions around customer needs
  • Commercial acumen and ability to articulate ROI
  • Negotiation, objection handling, and closing skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with senior stakeholders
  • Results-driven and coachable
  • Experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM is desirable
  • SaaS or cloud-based business development experience is desirable
  • Experience selling to or building relationships with higher education institutions is desirable
  • Proactive adoption of AI tools is desirable
  • Full UK driving licence is useful
  • Ability to manage a varied portfolio and longer commercial cycles
  • Collaborative, adaptable, organised, resilient, and high-integrity approach
