About the role

  • Manage German accounting, VAT compliance, customs documentation, and tax filings
  • Maintain complete accounting records for Kinara International GmbH in accordance with German HGB
  • Accurately and promptly process accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and manage cash flow
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management (BWA)
  • Support preparation of annual financial statements together with the tax advisor
  • Prepare and submit monthly/quarterly VAT returns to the German tax authorities
  • Handle and review customs documentation for import/export transactions
  • Maintain and optimize the chart of accounts in the Xero accounting system
  • Collaborate with the UAE headquarters and other international subsidiaries on financial matters

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Professional qualification (e.g., Bilanzbuchhalter, Steuerfachwirt) preferred
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience in Germany
  • Strong knowledge of German VAT regulations and reporting requirements
  • Experience with customs documentation and import/export procedures
  • Solid understanding of German tax law, including corporate tax and trade tax (Gewerbesteuer)
  • Thorough knowledge of German accounting standards (HGB)
  • Extensive experience with DATEV accounting software
  • Familiarity with Xero or similar cloud-based accounting software is an advantage
  • Proficient user of MS Excel / Google Sheets (financial modelling, PivotTables, VLOOKUP functions)
  • German native speaker or fluent (C2) – required for communication with tax authorities
  • Business-level English (B2 or higher) for internal group communication
