About the role

Developing and pitching compelling media stories to a wide range of outlets
Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with key journalists, editors, and influencers
Developing and placing press releases, blog posts, and other content
Working closely with internal teams to transform proprietary data and insights into newsworthy stories
Monitoring news cycles and media trends to identify proactive and reactive media opportunities
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align PR efforts with business objectives

A minimum of 7+ years of experience in media relations and public relations with a proven track record of securing media coverage
A background in consumer-facing fintech, insurtech or personal finance industry is a plus
Experience building and nurturing relationships with journalists and media contacts
Superior written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt your style for different audiences
A strong understanding of how earned media impacts brand authority, GEO, and SEO
Comfortable using data for storytelling and have experience reporting on campaign performance to a variety of stakeholders
The ability to handle and execute multiple projects on tight deadlines with an ownership mentality
