About the role

  • Point of contact for all accounting-related questions
  • Responsible for recruiting, hiring and onboarding new team members
  • Preparation and compilation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements (including provisions, depreciation and accruals/deferrals)
  • Perform account reconciliations, vendor/vendor settlements and intercompany reconciliations
  • Processing incoming invoices, dunning/collections and cash reconciliations, and resolving discrepancies in close coordination with our stores
  • Close collaboration with Controlling on budget planning, forecasts and analyses
  • Preparation of annual tax returns (corporation tax, trade tax, VAT) including full documentation of supporting records and coordination with external tax advisors
  • Preparation and management of all payment processes for the DACH region
  • Planning and supervision of inventory counts and analysis of results
  • Responsible for fixed assets accounting (creation, maintenance and depreciation of fixed assets)
  • Participation in payroll accounting (posting payroll, reconciling payroll accounts, communication with external payroll providers)
  • Active involvement in process optimizations, digitalization projects and system implementations

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration or equivalent commercial qualification (e.g., Bilanzbuchhalter/certified accounting professional)
  • Several years of professional experience in accounting, ideally in a senior role
  • Solid knowledge of preparing financial statements under HGB and IFRS
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with SAP is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting and experience with ERP and accounting systems
  • Experience working with tax advisors and auditors
  • Leadership skills and enjoyment in developing employees
  • Structured, independent and solution-oriented way of working
  • Hands-on mentality and enthusiasm for a dynamic, international environment
  • Very good German language skills; good English skills are an advantage
