About the role

  • Main point of contact for all accounting-related queries
  • Responsible for recruiting, hiring and technical onboarding of new staff
  • Preparation and production of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements (including provisions, depreciation and accruals)
  • Perform account reconciliations, supplier reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations
  • Processing incoming invoices, dunning and cash reconciliations, and resolving discrepancies in close coordination with our stores
  • Close collaboration with Controlling on budget planning, forecasts and analyses
  • Preparation of annual tax returns (corporation tax, trade tax, VAT) including complete supporting documentation and coordination with external tax advisors
  • Preparation and management of all payment processes for the DACH region
  • Planning and supervision of inventories and analysis of results
  • Responsible for fixed asset accounting (creation, maintenance and depreciation of fixed assets)
  • Participation in payroll accounting (posting payroll, reconciling payroll accounts, liaising with external payroll providers)
  • Active involvement in process optimizations, digitization projects and system implementations

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration or a comparable commercial qualification (e.g., certified balance-sheet accountant/Bilanzbuchhalter)
  • Several years of professional experience in accounting, ideally in a senior role
  • Solid knowledge of financial statement preparation under HGB and IFRS
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with SAP is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting and experience with ERP and accounting systems
  • Experience working with tax advisors and auditors
  • Leadership skills and enthusiasm for developing team members
  • Structured, self-reliant and solution-oriented working style
  • Hands-on mentality and enjoyment of a dynamic, international environment
  • Excellent German language skills; good English skills are an advantage
