About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Implement, troubleshoot, and sustain hybrid environments for the Missile Defense Space Enterprise Architecture
Work with a team that manages the full lifecycle of a secure, air-gapped on-premises infrastructure
Conduct administration, lifecycle management, and security hardening of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.0 appliance suite
Design and implement secure, scalable cloud architectures (VCF 9.0, AWS GovCloud, Azure for US Government)
Implement and sustain Container Platforms such as VKS (Kubernetes v1.35), Docker, and Podman
Work with system engineers to identify and define requirements for new systems/system modifications
Conduct daily system monitoring, system backup and restoral, and application upgrades
Ensure system software installations, maintenance, break/fix activities, and cyber security mitigations are performed
Carry out high-level activities associated with design and system architecture
Quickly learn challenging concepts and provide resolution
Effectively function as self-starter and identify risks, issues, and opportunities to leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must be a US citizen
Candidate must be in possession of a Secret Security Clearance
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related subject required
Must have, or acquire within 60 days of hire, Security+ certification or equivalent
2+ years of professional experience in the required task area
Familiarity with Cloud engineering experience required
Experience with enterprise hardware stack (HPE Synergy, HPE Nimble, NetApp ONTAP, etc.) required
Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerization required
Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform required
Understanding of networking, storage, identity, and DevSecOps pipelines required
