About the role

  • Define and execute organizational data strategy in partnership with the CPO and CTO
  • Personally lead development of predictive models, machine learning algorithms, and advanced statistical analysis for customer behavior, churn prediction, and personalization
  • Build and develop internal data science capabilities and manage contractor/vendor partnerships
  • Design and implement business intelligence solutions using Power BI, Tableau, and advanced SQL
  • Leverage web/app analytics (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) to optimize customer journeys and measure campaign effectiveness
  • Conduct deep-dive statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and develop A/B testing frameworks and experimentation strategies
  • Oversee enterprise-scale data science infrastructure on AWS including model deployment, monitoring, and real-time scoring
  • Partner with Product, Sales, and Strategic Partnerships to embed predictive models into core business processes and develop customer-facing analytics products

Requirements

  • 6-8 years of combined experience in data science, machine learning, and statistical analysis with 3+ years in leadership roles
  • Deep expertise in statistical modeling and ML algorithms
  • Proficiency in Python or R
  • Experience with AWS data services (SageMaker, EMR, Redshift)
  • Experience with business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau) and advanced SQL
  • Experience with web/app analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics)
  • Proven ability to drive revenue growth through data products and analytics (5+ years preferred)
  • Strong communication skills for C-level and external stakeholders
  • Entrepreneurial mindset; ability to manage contractor relationships, vendor partnerships, and cross-functional teams
  • Experience building and deploying ML models, monitoring, and real-time scoring systems
  • Preferred: Degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or related quantitative field; experience in loyalty/rewards platforms, financial services, or CDPs
