Job Level
About the role
- Architect the Global Design System: Build and maintain a scalable design language (tokens, components, patterns) that ensures coherence across our distinct B2B dashboards, consumer-facing modals, and marketing surfaces.
- Lead the "All Up" Redesign: Spearhead the complete visual overhaul of k-ID.com and our core product surfaces. You will audit our current state and ship a unified visual identity that signals "World Class" to both enterprise partners and families.
- Own Corporate Narrative & Visual Storytelling: Partner directly with the Leadership to translate abstract strategy into compelling visual artifacts. You will own the high-fidelity design of critical internal assets, pitch decks, and vision materials that align the company and investors.
- Design the Developer Experience (B2B): Own the UX for our core infrastructure products (Compliance Studio, CDK). You will take complex regulatory logic and distill it into elegant, intuitive interfaces that developers love to use.
- Elevate Consumer Trust: Design the interactions for AgeKey and our verification protocols. You will use motion, micro-interactions, and clear UX writing to turn high-friction compliance steps into seamless, trustworthy moments.
- Lead & Mentor from the Front: Manage our high-output design team while remaining hands-on. You will set the rhythm of critiques, instill a culture of high craft, and execute on critical design tasks yourself during our rapid scaling phase.
Requirements
- 10+ years of Design Experience: A proven track record in Product Design, UI/UX, or Brand Design at product-led technology companies.
- The "Unicorn" Portfolio: A body of work that demonstrates mastery of both complex B2B systems (Information Architecture, Dashboards) and consumer polish (Visual Design, Typography, Delight).
- Strategic Storytelling: Experience designing high-stakes corporate narratives (e.g., vision decks, brand guidelines) that influence company strategy.
- High-Fidelity Craft: You are "full stack" in design - comfortable jumping into Figma to fix a vector, tweak a bezier curve, or refine a motion prototype.
- Experience Leading Designers: You have hired, managed, and mentored designers, but have maintained your own hands-on skills.
- Strong Communication: Ability to articulate design rationale to engineers, product managers, and executives without relying on jargon.
