About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and execute data validation and automation test cases
Build and maintain SQL queries and scripts to validate large datasets
Perform API testing and backend validation across data pipelines
Develop automation frameworks or reusable components (Python or Selenium-based)
Collaborate with BAs, data engineers, and SMEs to ensure data accuracy and consistency
Identify data quality issues and perform root cause analysis
Contribute to CI/CD testing pipelines (e.g., Jenkins)
Ensure adherence to testing standards, data quality, and SDLC best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience in data testing / ETL test automation
Strong expertise in SQL (advanced queries, data validation, debugging)
Experience testing databases (Snowflake, SQL Server, or similar)
Hands-on experience in one of the following : Python for test automation
Selenium for UI/API automation
Experience with API testing (REST, validation techniques, tools)
Familiarity with test automation frameworks (data-driven, keyword, or hybrid)
Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins)
Understanding of data pipelines and workflows (e.g., Airflow)
Experience working in Agile environments
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate with both technical and business stakeholders
