About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Take self-directed ownership of features and small epics within our Snowflake data platform
Lead delivery of features and small epics on the Snowflake platform
Design and implement Snowflake database objects
Build and maintain ELT pipelines using Boomi, dbt, or SQL-based transformations into Snowflake
Architect and manage Bronze/Silver/Gold data layers
Develop and optimise complex SQL
Implement Snowflake performance best practices
Own testing strategy for pipeline and model changes
Coach and support IC1/IC2 developers
Lead technical design discussions and represent the team in planning meetings
Coordinate cross-functional data requirements
Support data quality checks and reconciliation processes
Manage Snowflake environment configuration
Contribute to data governance
Monitor pipeline health and provide production support
Support UAT cycles with technical recommendations

Requirements

What you’ll need

4–7 years of Snowflake development experience in a production data environment
Strong SQL skills
Hands-on experience with Snowflake-specific features
Experience building ELT/ETL pipelines from source systems
Understanding of dimensional modelling and data warehousing concepts
Familiarity with Snowflake access controls
Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD for data pipeline deployment
Ability to translate business data requirements into technical data models
Demonstrated ability to coach or mentor junior developers
SnowPro Core or Advanced Data Engineer certification (desirable)
Experience with dbt for transformation orchestration (desirable)
Exposure to Boomi as an integration tool feeding Snowflake (desirable)
Familiarity with Salesforce data structures and reporting requirements (desirable)
