Structure agreements and co-develop scalable, compliant solutions that align with company goals.
Partner with Regulatory and Quality to execute global filings (GRAS, EFSA, Novel Food) and ensure ingredient compliance and documentation accuracy.
Act as the bridge between internal science teams and external regulators to accelerate commercial readiness.
Stand up and qualify key technical operations — from lab to pilot through scale-up — in partnership with Quality and Supply Chain.
Evaluate existing partner engineering stacks and collaborate on commissioned changes or upgrades needed.
Translate R&D outputs into GMP-ready, food-grade production through disciplined planning and execution.
Collaborate with R&D, Supply Chain, Regulatory, and Business Development to align technical execution with commercial strategy.
Optimize product positioning, pricing, and supply chain economics for both internal and external ingredient sales.
Define and execute the roadmap for ingredient commercialization, GTM, and portfolio growth.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify white-space opportunities and next-generation ingredient directions.
Design redundancy into our supply and GTM ecosystems, and uphold global quality and safety standards.
Collaborate with legal to design and manage robust, defensible IP frameworks.
Manage documentation, audit readiness, and cross-border regulatory nuances proactively.
Requirements
7–10 years in product, supplier, engineering, or program management within biotech, specialty chemicals, or functional ingredients.
Deep technical fluency in bioprocessing, purification, and scale-up operations; comfortable interfacing with engineers, scientists, and manufacturing teams.
Strong understanding of global food and nutrition regulatory frameworks (e.g. FDA, GRAS, Novel Food, EFSA, NDI, IND) and hands-on experience navigating documentation, compliance, and application workflows.
Proven ability to identify, structure, and build supplier and technology partnerships, from technical diligence through contract execution through commercial readiness.
Experience with IP portfolio development, technology licensing, and proprietary process management.
Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills — able to lead with authority, manage competing priorities, and communicate effectively across fully-remote technical and commercial teams.
