• Ownership of Primary Beef Demand Plan - Accountable for managing the primary beef demand plan, overseeing availability, and confirming orders for both internal and external product requests.
• Inventory Management & Optimisation - Responsible for inventory management and monitoring in conjunction with site operations and stock control teams. Highlight variances and ensure stock rotation aligns with central inventory plans and targets.
• Demand Planning & Forecasting - Lead key account demand planning and order fulfilment in line with service level agreements

• Reporting to the Technical Manager and responsible for managing a team of 3 people.
• Manage and implement Policy and Technical standards according to regulatory and customer requirements to ensure Quality Management System is reviewed and improved.
• Implement systems and procedures to monitor, validate, and ensure integrity, quality, consistency, and compliance.
• Ensure the company is aware of legislative and customer constraints on the business.
• Ensure all products produced meet Safety and Quality standards and agreed customer specifications and policies.
• Monitor operation effectiveness through analysis of customer complaints, accreditation status, microbial monitoring, supplier appraisal, and contractor reports.

Assistant Technical Manager

• Leads the site Food Safety and Quality team in managing all food safety and quality processes, ensuring all products meet regulatory, customer, and internal standards with a focus on food safety excellence.
• Responsible for food safety compliance at the site, working alongside the operational and wider teams to promote a culture of compliance across all departments, protect brand reputation while delivering consistent product quality.
• Reports to: Head of Food Safety and Quality (Primary); Direct reports: 2 to 3.
• Lead commissioning processes and support evaluation/implementation of new equipment; drive measurable performance improvements.
• Prepare for and lead customer, third-party, and regulatory audits; ensure audit readiness and resolve non-conformances.
• Manage site FS&Q resource plan and budget; prepare and monitor FS&Q expenses with site management and financial controller.
• Oversee animal welfare compliance and internal/external audits; liaise with internal bodies on welfare matters.
• Drive continuous improvement in quality systems, monitor site performance, and embed food safety compliance throughout operations.
• Ensure team training, competence, and monitor training compliance with HR.

Food Safety and Quality Manager – Primary

• 1 year Fixed Term contract reporting to the Site Manager
• Develop and implement Health and Safety management systems at site level
• Provide advice and support to Business Unit Managers to help them fulfil H&S responsibilities
• Liaise with Group H&S support services to align site systems with Group strategy
• Record and investigate all accidents, monitor trends and produce statistics for BU managers
• Develop, implement and review Health and Safety practices, policies and procedures
• Lead in-house training with managers and employees and ensure all personnel are safety trained and competent
• Undertake and assist Business Unit Managers with risk assessments and review them regularly
• Implement internal audit processes, undertake unscheduled safety audits and measure performance
• Chair Site Safety meetings and present monthly written safety reports to the Site Manager

Health and Safety Manager

• Ensure optimal inventory levels, efficient production planning, and coordination across procurement, customer service, and operations

• Complete weekly stock reconciliations and investigate/close out variances in a timely manner
