About the role
- Develop and execute a differentiated product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Kentik’s service provider segment, in partnership with the CPO and business unit General Manager
- Own both strategy and execution, balancing the conceptualization of strategic initiatives with the need for fast and iterative execution to accelerate growth
- Serve as a primary product evangelist for the service provider segment with customers, prospects, analysts, and partners, including presenting at industry events
- Manage a team of 3-5 individual contributor Product Managers
- Work closely with Engineering, Design, and Marketing to operationalize the delivery of the vision and strategy through roadmaps, feature definition, releases, and go-to-market plans
- Foster deep, collaborative relationships with key customers and partners to listen, learn, and identify the most critical and meaningful problems to solve
- Act as a leader within the company and be a role model for the company culture
- Report to the Chief Product Officer and partner closely with the General Manager for the Service Provider business unit
Requirements
- 7+ years in senior product management roles for B2B high-scale Enterprise SaaS or technology companies
- 3+ years of people management experience
- Ability to work PST hours
- Deep technical and domain knowledge with a strong foundation in networking, infrastructure, and distributed systems technologies relevant to service providers
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills, with experience driving strategy and execution in a fast-moving, highly technical environment
- Enthusiastic and clear communication skills, with extensive experience in customer and partner-facing roles and confidence presenting to executive and external audiences
- A passion for what you do, with a bias toward action and a preference for seeking and solving the hardest, most meaningful problems
- Ability to persistently advocate for opinions and beliefs without being abrasive and not being afraid to challenge the status quo when needed
- Nice to haves: Direct experience with technologies and telemetry relevant to service provider networks
- Nice to haves: Experience with AI/ML-based approaches to solving problems in the networking, security, or observability space
