Finance Assistant
Kensington Grey Agency IncFinancial Assistant supporting day-to-day financial operations at Kensington Grey. Entry-level hybrid role across accounts payable and receivable in a creator-focused agency.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the team in the processing of vendor invoices, creator payments, and expense reports with accuracy and timeliness
- Verify and reconcile invoices against contracts, SOWs, and internal approvals
- Maintain vendor records and support onboarding of new vendors/creators
- Generate and issue client invoices aligned to campaign deliverables
- Maintain AR aging reports and flag risks or delays
- Investigate and resolve irregularities, including billing issues and discrepancies
- Track incoming payments and follow up on outstanding balances
- Apply payments based on remittance details and work to minimize or eliminate unapplied cash.
- Perform data entry of financial transactions
- Maintain accurate financial records across systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Lumi)
- Act as the primary point of contact and liaison for internal financial inquiries (Slack channel and finance email inbox)
- Support Finance team on audits, reporting, and compliance
- General administrative support and special projects when assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- 0–2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or administrative support
- Internship or co-op experience in finance/accounting is required if no full-time working experience
- Experience in agency, media, or talent environment is a strong plus
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (AP/AR, reconciliations)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Self-starter with strong autonomy and problem-solving mindset
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets
