About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Set up and operate multiple CNC carbide presses, including Dorst, Osterwalder, and PCT machines
  • Configure machines using computer-controlled setups and adjust CNC programs during setup
  • Load and unload trays from multiple presses
  • Gauge parts for proper dimensions and inspect visual characteristics
  • Select and weigh tungsten powder for pressing into green parts
  • Separate scrap from acceptable parts and document production information accurately
  • Scan correct production information in Mii
  • Maintain and resurface tooling as needed
  • Operate other equipment as needed
  • Train new operators when required
  • Troubleshoot moderate to complex operational problems
  • Perform quality checks according to inspection plans, verifying powder, lots, tooling, production orders, and press information
  • Follow safety procedures, press data sheets, routings, specifications, inspection standards, and operating instructions
  • Meet daily departmental production goals and communicate safety, quality, and product issues with supervisors, team members, and across shifts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1+ years manufacturing experience required
  • 2 year technical degree preferred
  • Experience with CNC or PLC machine controls preferred
  • Must be reliable and dependable
  • Must commit to working safely and understand all safety procedures
  • Ability to stand approximately 8–10 hours, with intermittent walking, reaching, sitting, squatting, kneeling, and bending
  • Ability to lift up to 33 pounds
  • Safety glasses with side-shields required
  • Safety shoes required
  • Applicant must be either a US Citizen or a US Permanent Resident
