About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and manage all production activities during the 3rd shift, ensuring alignment with company goals and production targets
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of production employees on the manufacturing floor
  • Plan, organize, and adjust production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery requirements
  • Monitor and oversee production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and product specifications
  • Allocate and manage resources effectively, including labor, materials, and equipment, to optimize efficiency and output
  • Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards and promote a safe working environment
  • Provide training, coaching, and development opportunities to team members to enhance performance and engagement
  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, quality, and other departments to resolve operational issues and improve processes
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by meeting expectations related to lead time, on-time delivery, and product quality
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels to support production demands and ensure smooth operations
  • Drive employee engagement, satisfaction, discipline, and overall team development
  • Lead cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external audits, including ISO and QMS standards
  • Enforce company policies, procedures, and shop floor discipline while securing necessary approvals from management when required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience
  • BE in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering preferred
  • Lean / 6 Sigma certifications
  • In-depth knowledge on production processes, machinery, and equipment used in manufacturing
  • 5 years of experience in engineering industries is preferred
  • Knowledge on carbide tool manufacturing process
  • Knowledge on production planning and scheduling
  • Knowledge on SAP
