Associate Engineer – Product Design

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review customers’ tool requests and developing tooling concepts for custom engineered solutions tooling.
- Include but not limited to metal cutting drills and steel products for turning and milling products.
- Provide completed quotations for said tooling.
- Work independently, as well as collaboratively, in a team environment.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred.
- At least two (2) years of experience in a related position is preferred.
- Practical experience interpreting technical drawings and engineering specifications.
- Knowledge of geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Advanced mathematics and understanding of close tolerance manufacturing processes such as pressing, sintering, grinding, milling, turning, etc.
- Experience with 3D modeling and/or CAD/CAM software is also desired.
- Knowledge of machining processes and carbide cutting tools are a plus.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US (excluding Optional Practice Testing) and not require sponsorship now or in the future.
