About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review customers’ tool requests and developing tooling concepts for custom engineered solutions tooling.
  • Include but not limited to metal cutting drills and steel products for turning and milling products.
  • Provide completed quotations for said tooling.
  • Work independently, as well as collaboratively, in a team environment.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in a related position is preferred.
  • Practical experience interpreting technical drawings and engineering specifications.
  • Knowledge of geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Advanced mathematics and understanding of close tolerance manufacturing processes such as pressing, sintering, grinding, milling, turning, etc.
  • Experience with 3D modeling and/or CAD/CAM software is also desired.
  • Knowledge of machining processes and carbide cutting tools are a plus.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US (excluding Optional Practice Testing) and not require sponsorship now or in the future.
