About the role
- Design, develop, and modernize enterprise applications using VB/.Net, ASP, and C#, Angular migrating legacy codebases to modern architectures.
- Work with PL/SQL and PostgreSQL for data access, transformation, and performance tuning.
- Architect and build secure, scalable applications within the AWS cloud environment.
- Develop reusable code libraries and frameworks to standardize components across teams.
- Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines and enforce code quality using SonarQube.
- Create and manage PowerShell scripts and other automation tools for deployment and environment management.
- Integrate emerging technologies including Python and GenAI to support automation, smart decision-making, and user experience enhancements.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, product owners, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure high-performance, secure, and compliant solutions.
- Provide mentorship to junior developers and contribute to coding best practices and technical governance.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience in software development and architecture.
- Strong expertise in VB/.Net, ASP, C#, PL/SQL.
- Proficient in PostgreSQL and SQL optimization techniques.
- Experience developing in and deploying to AWS cloud environments (EC2, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, S3, etc.).
- Proven ability to implement CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Hands-on experience with SonarQube for code quality and static analysis.
- Strong scripting skills using PowerShell for automation and environment setup.
- Exposure to Python and Generative AI platforms (e.g., Amazon Bedrock, OpenAI APIs).
- Strong understanding of enterprise security, scalability, and performance best practices.
- Experience in the Life Insurance or broader financial services domain.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
- AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
- Agile/Scrum experience with strong collaboration and communication skills.
