💰 $110,000 - $120,000 per year
About the role
- Improving chemical production and utility processes
- Collaborating with production staff to improve safety, quality, and efficiency
- Leading process safety activities, including: Management of Change, Process hazard analysis, Pre-start up reviews, Root Cause Analysis and corrective actions for process incidents
- Training personnel on new/changed processes
- Providing technical and process safety support for new/experimental product trials
- Developing and updating operating procedures, P&IDs, engineering records
- Supporting or leading capital projects
- Assisting with creation of SOPs for new and existing equipment and processes as needed
- Developing competency to fill in for team members as needs arise
Requirements
- Chemical or Mechanical engineering degree
- 3+ years of experience with chemical manufacturing, involving batch reactions
- Excellent written and oral communication skills (English)
- Strong interactive skills with all levels of plant organization
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously within tight timeframes
- Willingness to travel when required
- Demonstrated Process Engineering and project support skillset
