Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as the final decision-maker for all published content.
Collaborate with senior leadership on online presence and content strategy.
Cultivate and maintain a broad network of subject-matter experts, writers, policymakers, and other contributors to strengthen credibility and output.
Lead and manage all editorial staff and content workflows across digital and print platforms.
Expand the organization’s investigative reporting capacity and develop long-form feature content.
Own and manage the editorial budget in collaboration with relevant internal teams.
Support strategic initiatives in partnership with senior leadership.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong editorial judgment with the ability to make high-quality decisions quickly.
Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience leading editorial teams and managing editorial workflow.
Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a closely related field; advanced degree a plus.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Minimum 7 to 10 years of professional journalism experience.
**Preferred Qualifications**
Familiarity with purpose-driven organizations and audience or community engagement.
Proven track record commissioning and editing ambitious investigative and long-form feature work.
Familiarity with modern audience-building techniques and media innovation.
