About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee community-facing direct services.
- Run the 800 Helpline (information and referral).
- Lead community education.
- Lead patient and family education.
- Manage supportive care programs.
- Collaborate with the Development team on grant requests and reports.
- Deliver programs in virtual formats and keep resources accessible online.
- Assist the Executive Director in guiding other program staff.
- Support colleagues across awareness, advocacy, and signature events.
- Represent the organization in the community and participate in most organizational activities.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and experience working with databases.
- Fluency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to represent the organization with professionalism and integrity.
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of experience in program development and management.
- Ability to lead diverse teams that include staff, community organizations, and corporate partners.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends, with rare travel within the U.S.
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation for regular travel across the region.
- Comfort working with a broad range of people, including clients with varying abilities and individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects with different timelines.
