About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee community-facing direct services.
  • Run the 800 Helpline (information and referral).
  • Lead community education.
  • Lead patient and family education.
  • Manage supportive care programs.
  • Collaborate with the Development team on grant requests and reports.
  • Deliver programs in virtual formats and keep resources accessible online.
  • Assist the Executive Director in guiding other program staff.
  • Support colleagues across awareness, advocacy, and signature events.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and experience working with databases.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to represent the organization with professionalism and integrity.
  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of experience in program development and management.
  • Ability to lead diverse teams that include staff, community organizations, and corporate partners.
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends, with rare travel within the U.S.
  • Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation for regular travel across the region.
  • Comfort working with a broad range of people, including clients with varying abilities and individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects with different timelines.
