Key responsibilities & impact

Lead day-to-day business operations across finance, people operations, technology, administration, systems, and organizational infrastructure.
Translate strategic priorities into operating plans, budgets, processes, and measurable outcomes.
Support growth across publishing, audience development, partnerships, events, and digital products.
Improve internal workflows, reporting, resource allocation, and cross-functional collaboration.
Oversee vendor relationships, compliance, operational risk, and business continuity.
Partner with the CEO and leadership team on long-range planning, board reporting, and organizational performance.
Build scalable processes while preserving the agility and creativity of a media environment.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Senior operations leadership experience in media, publishing, policy, research, digital content, or mission-led information businesses.
Experience overseeing finance, people operations, systems, technology, and organizational operations.
Strong commercial, financial, and operational judgment.
Ability to bring structure to creative, editorial, or knowledge-based environments.
Experience working closely with CEOs, boards, or executive leadership teams.
Comfort leading remote teams and managing distributed operations.
