About the role
- Drive contract discussions and finalize pricing and terms that protect company margins and support profitability
- Uncover and pursue new revenue opportunities through targeted outreach, relationship-building, trade shows, and sector events
- Stay ahead of market developments, competitor activity, and client feedback to shape both product positioning and sales approach
- Cultivate and sustain meaningful, long-term partnerships with key clients and accounts
- Deliver timely and precise sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance reporting to senior stakeholders
- Own the entire sales process from initial prospecting through to deal closure and ongoing account management
- Mentor, motivate, and manage the sales team to build a culture of high performance and accountability
- Work closely with operations, production, and customer service to create a smooth and consistent experience for every client
- Design and implement targeted sales strategies that drive revenue growth and strengthen market presence across the manufacturing and production sector
Requirements
- Comfortable working with CRM tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite
- At least 5 years of hands-on sales experience
- Confident negotiator with strong communication and presentation abilities
- Working knowledge of manufacturing operations, supply chain dynamics, and production timelines
- Willingness and ability to travel to client sites and industry events as needed (up to 50%)
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related discipline — or equivalent practical experience
- A background in sales within manufacturing, industrial, or production settings
- A consistent track record of meeting and exceeding B2B sales targets
- **Preferred Background**
- An established network of industry contacts within manufacturing or production
- Prior experience overseeing national or multi-territory account portfolios
- A background in selling capital equipment, custom fabrication, or industrial components
- Some exposure to lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma environments
