About the role

  • Provide strategic financial leadership and partner with the executive team to drive business objectives and long-term growth initiatives
  • Oversee all financial operations including accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, tax compliance, and internal controls
  • Develop and implement financial strategies, budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support organizational goals
  • Ensure compliance with federal, U.S., Puerto Rico, and local regulatory requirements, including tax incentive programs specific to Puerto Rico and the United States
  • Lead financial risk management, cash flow optimization, and capital allocation strategies
  • Direct the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and presentations for stakeholders and leadership
  • Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, and financing arrangements
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to build organizational capability
  • Collaborate with business unit leaders to provide financial insights that inform strategic decision-making
  • Oversee audit processes and maintain strong relationships with external auditors and advisors

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior finance role (CFO, VP Finance, or Controller)
  • Proven experience in the service industry or related sectors
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting standards, and regulatory compliance
  • Strong understanding of federal and U.S. tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Strong understanding of Puerto Rico tax laws, incentive programs, and business regulations
  • Demonstrated success in strategic financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Experience managing financial operations for organizations with revenues of $50M+
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience building and developing high-performing teams
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • Proficiency in financial systems, ERP platforms, and advanced Excel skills
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (written and verbal)
