About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead backend development for Discovery capabilities within KeeperPAM
Design and develop the Python discovery engine running on customer-deployed gateways and Java/Kotlin cloud services storing and serving discovered data
Build systems that discover privileged accounts, service accounts, keys, machines and identity data across Active Directory, cloud IAM, databases and endpoints
Solve identity correlation and reconciliation challenges across multiple systems
Build incremental rescans and state-reconciliation capabilities to prevent duplicate or stale data
Develop unit, integration and automated tests, diagnostic tooling, logging and error reporting
Design safe discovery workflows for customer production networks, respecting API limits and partial failures
Develop secure data-processing workflows within Keeper’s zero-knowledge architecture
Collaborate with Product, QA and PAM engineers on design, testing, troubleshooting and delivery
Use AI-assisted tools to support development, debugging, research and documentation

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of professional software development experience focused on backend systems
Strong Python experience
Working proficiency in Java or Kotlin
Enough TypeScript/React proficiency to modify the administrative interface when needed
Strong experience with distributed systems, APIs and data-processing pipelines
Hands-on experience with Active Directory and/or LDAP
Working knowledge of at least one major cloud IAM model, such as AWS IAM and Organizations, Microsoft Entra ID or GCP IAM
Strong knowledge of secure software development, authentication, authorization and encryption
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Strong data modeling instincts, ideally including graph or relationship-oriented models
Must be a U.S. Person: a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident
