About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead a section of various employees including truck drivers and maintenance team
- Supervise employee performance and ensure a safe work environment
- Allocate driver assignments and ensure compliance with program policies and safety standards
- Conduct operator level maintenance on all vehicles
- Plan and conduct full-scale convoys of tactical equipment
- Manage surface movements of tactical equipment through the APS-3 Maintenance Process
- Proper staging of stored equipment to maximize use of staging areas
- Monitor all transportation movements to completion【more responsibilities】
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be U.S. Citizen
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Post HS education in related field is preferred
- Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) a plus
- 8 years’ experience truck driving / equipment operations or similar roles
- 2 year minimum in lead or supervisory experience
- Experience working in lean manufacturing, participating or leading continuous improvement projects is a plus
- Must be able to obtain and maintain local base access
- Proficiency with the Microsoft office suite, particularly MS-Word, MS-Excel
